Privacy Policy
Effective 25 October 2026
Fibi is an app blocker for iPhone. It has no account, no ads and no tracking across apps. This policy explains, in plain language, what little data leaves your phone and why.
Who we are
Fibi is made by an independent developer, the data controller for the data described here. Contact: eliastestdev@gmail.com.
What stays on your phone
- The apps and websites you block. You pick them with Apple's Screen Time picker. iOS gives Fibi only opaque tokens, so Fibi cannot see their names, and they never leave your phone.
- Your settings, locks, schedules and Time back counts. Stored on your iPhone only.
- Your onboarding answers and the name you type. Stored on your iPhone. Your name is only sent if you also give your email (see below).
Fibi does not read your Screen Time usage, browsing history, contacts, photos, location or messages.
What leaves your phone
| Data | Why | Sent to |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous usage: which Fibi screens are opened, button choices in onboarding, app opens, device model, iOS version, app version, language, a random ID | To understand which parts of Fibi work and fix what doesn't | PostHog (EU Cloud, Germany) |
| Your email, your marketing-consent choice and when you made it, and your first name, only if you choose to give your email | To reply to you and, only if you ticked the box, send occasional product news | PostHog (EU Cloud, Germany) |
| Purchase and subscription status, a random app user ID | To unlock Fibi, restore purchases and honour your subscription | Apple (App Store) and RevenueCat |
Like any internet request, these services receive your IP address when the app connects. We never send the names of apps or websites you block, or anything Screen Time reveals.
Your choices
- Turn off analytics: Fibi → Settings → Privacy and data → Help improve Fibi.
- Email: giving it is optional. Marketing email is off unless you tick the box, and every message has an unsubscribe link.
- Delete your data: email us and we delete your analytics profile and email. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone.
Legal basis (EEA and UK)
Purchases: performance of a contract. Anonymous analytics: our legitimate interest in improving the app, which you can switch off at any time. Email and marketing: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. Email us and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in Sweden that is IMY.
Retention
Analytics events are kept for up to 12 months. Your email is kept until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe from all contact. Purchase records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat as long as needed for billing and the law.
Service providers
- Apple: App Store payments and the Screen Time framework. Apple Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat, Inc.: subscription management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- PostHog Inc., EU Cloud hosted in Frankfurt: product analytics. PostHog Privacy Policy
We do not sell or share your data for advertising. We do not use the advertising identifier, session recording or third-party ad SDKs.
Children
Fibi is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us an email, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
